Materials Manager

Essential Functions Position Summary: The Materials Manager is operationally responsible to manage the performance of material planning, master scheduling, and inventory control functions including but not limited to: material expediting, material handling and line feed. Strong collaboration with the Business unit managers, Customer Service and Management will be critical to meeting business goals. Incumbent is responsible for the full range of supply chain planning processes and activities including: o Master Scheduling o Supply Demand Balancing o Inventory Management and Control Scope/Supervision and Interaction: This position: __X__ Has Direct Reports ____ Does Not Have Direct Reports The Materials Manager will report to the Divisional Supply Chain Manager and interact intra-divisionally with logistics, procurement, Customer service and Operations Essential Functions: o Matrix responsibilities for Production Planning's manufacturing resource-planning activities. These activities need to help achieve division sales and RONA objectives and maintain 100% on-time customer deliveries. Matrix responsibilities for personnel involved with the MRP database to achieve and maintain a high degree of data accuracy, integrity, and ownership. o Create a rolling 3-month Master Production Plan for designated products. Utilize the production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, and new business opportunities. Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times. o Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule. o Define inventory strategy at a part number level and maintain finished goods inventory targets to achieve desired corporate inventory turn targets. o Help define and implement automated systems to plan and track material flow from customers through procurement to delivery to support a supply chain management strategy. o Facilitate corporate purchasing and materials initiatives including common part numbers, supplier managed inventory, consolidated purchasing agreements, supplier reduction and supplier quality certifications. o Ensure all the division's material management policies are consistent with the inventory control objectives of the Corporation. o Support internal or external audit requirements relative to the planning, procurement or inventory control functions. o Timely reporting of division materials metrics and standards of performance- Key metrics include not limited to Supplier OTD, Master Schedule Adherence, Days sales inventory, Inventory forecast $$ o Support the S&OP process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications. Update Master Production Plan as necessary. o Provide professional development for all materials team members. Explain and support company policies and procedures. o Facilitate Kanban, materials requirement planning technique, throughout division. Qualifications o Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operation Research. o Minimum of 5 years in Material Planning, Master Scheduling and Inventory Control. o Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements. o Experience using MRP / ERP systems, especially Advance Planning Systems, inventory management techniques and tools for continous improvements. o APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred. o Must be familiar with a variety of manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures, particularly those related to materials, quality and purchasing functions within a design and manufacturing enterprise, including but not limited to: MRP II; EDI, S&OP; Excess and Obselence, Inco terms; NPI; PDCA; line feed modes-Kitting, Sequencing, Kanban; 6s. o Strong collaboration with Operations, Customer Service and Management will be critical to meeting business goals. o Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes. o Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels. o Strong communication and presentation skills. o Strong problem solving and analysis skills. o Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities. o Proficient in MS office applications. o Open to relocation for future development opportunities. 11928-1A

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
